Yeay! :) My application got me accepted for a seat at the Arduino workshop at Ars Electronica’s Electrolobby in Linz, Austria. Hopefully it will be a nice time there with a lot of new ideas, projects and meeting new people!

Another old jam that I found on my disk; this time an old funky jazzy piece from 2003 with some live playing on the keyboard, some deep basses and some weird percussion including my own voice! I guess I was listening to a lot of Gonkyburg-music at that time. The tune is one of the tunes that I made in a project called 4′th Oscillator, yeah I know – crappy name… But I think it is a cool tune in a way, a bit too long, but quite nice, at least for still being a demo… Enjoy, or just send me a nice e-mail saying how much you hate this tune! ;)

The sounds are coming from the audience at the local restaurants of Möllevången in Malmö, Sweden, as the nine penalties in the shoot-out are shown on TV. Italia won over France after 5-3 in the shoot-out, and it is worth noting that the fourth penality is missed by France’s Trézéguet – where the audience are actually making more noise than most of the other penalities. Also see Wikipedia…

I needed to do some redesigning on this page to be able to add information in an easy(ier) way. Along with some administration tools that I have created for my own needs, I’ve also changed the design and added a list of performance/live shows. Could be cool? Other parts of the page, like thumbnail galleries will be redesigned as well for dillchip3.1, when I get some more time. And, I am also planning to supply some RSS/Atom-feeds for those that use modern technlogy. Stay tuned! (or maybe just a slighty detuned mmmmm…) Please note that Internet Explorer 6 seems to have some problems with the standard UTF-8 coding that I am now using… Hmm… Either manually select “Unicode (UTF-8)” or use Firefox :)

I’m performing tonight as part of the Placard headphone festival, in an apartment in Gothenburg. Both local and global (Tokyo, Geneva, Toronto, Amsterdam) artists are performing, and you can hear Nim, goto80, sin(theta) among others. Since this is in a private apartment, you may enter only by invitation, but you are all free to listen to the webstream. (Remember to listen with you headphones! ;)

So what happend yesterday? Well, the Hugs-gang gathered with some rock/metal-guys to perform during this special event at Big Love… (Signal In The Heavens/A Lot Goes On Forever by Bryndis
Hrönn Ragnarsdottir & Geirthrudur Finnbogadottir Hjörvar) Go there now, to check the trails of what happend!!! (Yes, old picture, I know… there were pictures taken, and both video and audio in stereo recorded at the event, but I don’t have any evidence…)
Btw, we are thinking of arranging some more regular Hugs again, do you want to join? Just get in touch! My mail address (and MSN Messenger) is on the top of the page! :)

So, I browsed my harddrive again, and found some old piano ideas that was improvised (in realtime as usual) in April 2003. Consider them as demos, fragments, and ideas for future movie soundtracks (!) and beware of crappy performance, crappy recording, crappy encoding and even some background noises during the recording that are loud!!! Soon I’m planning on doing some more “proper” recordings, but don’t expect grass and green forrests hehe…

I found some old music clips on my harddrive that were recorded during my rehearsals for the Sync24 live event in October 2004. The clips are more or less parts of the raw improvisation that I did, and these were not that good to be used for the performance, but maybe they could fit here on the page… Recorded on the 11-12 October 2004.

I’ve been working with technical details (together with Mattias Rickardsson) in Christian Andersson’s installation ’9 was 6 if’, which is shown in Otterndorf, Germany until the end of June. It will also be shown at Göteborg International Biennial from September to November in Göteborg, Sweden. It’s a great piece, do not miss it! Two normal chairs… Black and white, or?

I and Hanna Källs are creating a pair of instruments, each controlled by a pair of contact microphone-equipped gloves. Our “work-in-progress-performance” at 141:an in Göteborg at 28th of May was really clicks and cuts… Nice, but still this platform can do much more than that. Be sure that this piece of equipment will be used a lot later as it is ultra portable (no stinkin’ laptop! ;-). Documentation is coming later as well.
